Rosie is a native of Cornwall. She is a graduate of Loughborough University (2019), gaining a bachelor of honours in the field of psychology. She has been involved in management of restaurants in Southwest Cornwall for 8 years and loved gaining rapport with each community. She currently is employed by the NHS, at a local Surgery, as an administrative assistant. Rosie hopes this position will lead to opportunities in working with NHS Mental Health patients. She has Advanced DBS clearance and works regularly with current Safeguarding policies.
She has spent many years volunteering as both a coach and umpire in youth sport, in particular netball, where she was assistant coach for the England Netball Southwest Division in 2015. Before the pandemic, she would volunteer at the junior netball league in Truro every week, helping children in their own netball journey.
She feels that it is of high importance that children learn how to care for our planet, as they are the ones who are needed to carry on positive change, and that we can facilitate that change by educating them.

I have worked for 25 years in education, currently as a lecturer at Penwith College and previously working for a charity designing bespoke education packages for young people who find education a challenge. I have worked with many different local authorities and understand the challenges faced. I seek to overcome these with alternative ideas, such as embedding earth education into everyday ĺearning, assisting young people to access nature and improve their wellbeing and mental health.
I moved to Cornwall 3 years ago, following many years of visiting and admiring the county's beauty. I am passionate about helping to preserve what I feel is a precious commodity and am very excited to be invited as an Associate Member of the EGG Trust CIO.
